It can be so frustrating when you are working extremely hard for something, but the fruit you were expecting seems fleeting.
Or you feel that you just aren’t getting the results fast enough (transparent moment…that person is me!)
Whether you have a personal development goal that you're working towards, a health goal, the goal to finally finish writing your book, the goal to gain traction in the business you launched a year ago, there will be times when you question, “Is this working?” or “Is it worth it?”
I get it.
It often feels like it would just be easier to quit, throw in the towel, say “Maybe God didn’t want that for my life” or "It wasn't meant to be for me."
Am I the only one who has had such internal conversations?
One of my mentors is a retired Navy SEAL. He often shares of the intense training he endured for the opportunity to be selected and honored as an elite SEAL. He had to swim in shark filled waters at night!
He shares how the training was meant to purposely break one's spirit. They wanted to make you “ring the bell” and give up. If you wanted the pain to end all you had to do was...ring the bell!
You may not be training to become a Navy SEAL, but if you are working towards a goal, a God-sized dream or vision, you too will experience intense training, hardship and sometimes pain.
Each day you must be intentional about showing up, doing what needs to be done and speaking faith and God’s promises over your life. If you get knocked down, know that you have the strength to get back up, regroup and keep forging ahead.
The vision you have for your life, even if you can’t see the evidence of it right now, is within your reach. It is simply a matter of time and of you being consistent, tenacious and full of faith and taking action.
If you are going to change your life, change your community & change our world, you must not ring the bell!
Do not give up.
The success you want is available, you just have to keep going!
